Wendi Thomas (Republican Party) was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 178. She assumed office on December 1, 2018. She left office on November 30, 2022.

Thomas (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to represent District 178. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Thomas announced on January 25, 2022, that she would not seek re-election to the state House.[1]

Thomas was the Region 4 representative on the Council Rock Board of Directors in Pennsylvania from 2008 to 2018.[2]

Thomas obtained her bachelor's degree in political science and accounting from Gettysburg College. She works as the senior vice president of account management at Health Advocate.[3]

Special election

PA House District 178

A special election for the position of Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 178 was held on May 15, 2018. Candidates running for special elections in Pennsylvania are selected by their respective political parties.[4]

The seat was left vacant after the resignation of Scott Petri (R) on December 31, 2017. Petri resigned from the state House after being appointed to the position of executive director of the Philadelphia Parking Authority.[5]

Helen Tai (D) defeated Wendi Thomas (R) in the special election.[6]

2015

Five of the nine seats on the Council Rock Board of Directors were up for election in the general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015.

Region 1 incumbent Bill Foster and Region 2 candidate Edward Tate won election without opposition. Region 4 incumbent Wendi Thomas (R) defeated challenger Richard Wilkinson (D). Region 5 incumbent Jerold S. Grupp (R) won re-election against challenger Leslie Rothberg (D). Michael Thorwart (R) defeated Michelle Held (D) in the Region 7 race. No independent candidates filed for the election.[2]
