Wendy A. Cartwright is the chief judge for the Orphans Court of Prince George's County in Prince George's County, Maryland.[1] She has served as a judge for the court since 2001 and as chief judge since 2003.[2] She was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Prince George's County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Cartwright ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Prince George's County.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 35.2 percent of the vote. She competed against incumbent Judges Athena Malloy Groves and Vicky L. Ivory-Orem. All 3 candidates ran unopposed in the primary. 
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. Three seats were up for election. [4][5] 

2010

Cartwright was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Prince George's County (along with Athena Malloy Groves and Vicky L. Ivory-Orem) in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 33.14% of the vote.[6]

Cartwright received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1986 and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1989.[2]
