I have always been a fighter and is very involved in her community. I grew up in rural Clackamas County. Her parents were blue collar workers and lived paycheck to paycheck. Her parents divorced at age 10 and she very quickly learned she had to work hard and keep faith to get through the hard times. During her high school years at Molalla Union High School, she joined church groups, clubs and sports and found her love for volunteering which extended into her adult life. Wendy went on to graduate from Oregon State University with a BS in Mathematics and minor in Psychology. Wendy, her husband, and son live in Tualatin. Before anything else Wendy is a mom, wife and a Christian. I volunteered as a youth sports coach throughout her son’s school years, and is currently serving as treasurer on the youth basketball board, volunteers at her son’s schools, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) leader at her work. She has become very aware of what has been happening to Oregon and misses the Oregon she grew up in. COVID was an eye-opener.
  • is time for the people to feel safe again and fight crime. Bring back the strength of our police. Give them the tools they need to ensure their own as well as our safety. Make sure they are protected with body cams and more so there is proof of actions both good and bad to be used. It is time to make sure all parts of our emergency system are cared for.
  • It is time to really find out where our tax dollars are going and remove unnecessary or unused taxes from the burden of blue-collar workers. It is time to fight for the smaller businesses. It is time for the state budget to be transparent for the people.
  • It is time for our medical choices to be private. If our spouses have to get paperwork signed to be able to speak to our doctors then why should a business be able to force or ask you about your medical choices or dictate your medical choices? We must never allow government or business to dictate the decisions we make for our bodies. We must ensure no more invasion of our medical privacy.
We need to make sure Oregon takes care of Oregonians and not continue down a path of dependency on the government system on the backs of working people. It is time for able bodies to get back into the work force.
It is time for homelessness to be addressed so that they receive the services they need and no longer camp on our freeways and sidewalks. I have decided It is time to stand up and represent everyday Oregonians like myself. I decided it was time that Oregonians took their lives back. With the actions of our government and school boards over the last decade, I decided that enough is enough and it is time to join the fight against the career politicians and get government back to what it should be: For the people. I have watched my friends and family leave Oregon because it is too expensive to live here anymore, or they do not like the direction Oregon is going. I listen and watch what is happening to my son’s education. I watch as the government spent the last 2.5 years telling me they knew more of what I needed medically than my doctors. I have lost income and retirement over the last year and is again struggling and living paycheck to paycheck. i watched small business struggle with the reins of government making it difficult for them to find ways to stay open. I watch as crime soars in Portland and other cities. It is time to take Oregon back. It is time to bring it back to one of the most beautiful places to live and have the opportunities they want and deserve.
My father is my hero. He showed me that there is nothing you can't do if you fight for it. In that fight, never turn your back on who you are and keep being true to yourself no matter what. If you change for people, you will get lost. My whole life. People always new where they stood with him and he was loved by all. When he passed, there was not enough room to let everyone in and they stood outside and supported his memory.
I think elected officials should actually be honest and transparent. They should have meetings with their constituents and actually listen to what they want and not get caught up in the current political agenda that may not be what they want. It is important to be strong in your convictions and not give in to any group.
Honesty, Compassion, Confidence and Integrity both to yourself and to others.
Elected officials need to work together as one group to create bills and laws regarding issues that represent your constituents. It is the Senator's responsibility to work together and implement those changes or needs.
A better Oregon. Being a great mom, great friend and a Christian.
When I was 10, my parents got divorced. It changed my life and began struggles that would make me the person I am today (strong, independent, and learn who I wanted to be)
My first job out of college was US Bank where I stayed for over 10 years. I started out as a teller and moved my way up to leading the tax department for the US Bank leasing company.
I am a 2 time cancer survivor. This was a very dark and sad time in my life. After 12 years, we finally had our son and he was 1 1/2 when it reared its ugly head. I had the opportunity to look my mortality in the face, and it made me a stronger fighter and a better person. It showed me what is really important in life!
It is important that a senator is in tune with the specific interests and problems associated with their district. We serve our constituents, this must be done by talking and meeting with them at every opportunity that you can get. I intend to do that. We must also look at an issue in terms of its effect on the entire state.
No, I believe that you have lived in the real world and lived through the struggles then you are better to represent the district as you know what the people need. You see the changes from outside Salem and feel the effects of those that made the decisions. It is time for career politicians to be removed.
I have been in the financial world for over 3 decades. I have worked with all 50 states in the tax world. I have gone toe to toe with state government and auditors. I have a strong work ethic and ready to dive in. I have been a managed a tax department for decades.
sorry don't know any
