Wengay Newton
Wengay Newton (Democratic Party) is running for election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 62. He declared candidacy for the 2026 election.[source]
Newton (Democratic Party) (also known as Newt) was a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 70. He assumed office on November 8, 2016. He left office on November 3, 2020.
Newton is a former member of the St. Petersburg City Council in Florida, representing District 7. He was elected to the council in 2007.[1]
Biography
Wengay Newton was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. As of January 2020, he still lived in St. Petersburg. He received his associate degree from I.T.T. Technical Institute and his Microsoft Solutions Certification from St. Petersburg College. His career experience includes working as a professional photographer. He has served on the St. Petersburg City Council.[2]
