Wes Westmoreland is a former Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 46. Westmoreland was appointed to the Senate on January 27, 2012. He replaced Debbie Clary (R), who resigned earlier in the month.[1]

Westmoreland was appointed to the Senate after Debbie Clary (R) resigned. Westmoreland said he would not run for re-election in the 2012 general election.[2]
