The ballot question was as follows:[1]

To fund public safety and investments in inclusive economic development and community improvements, shall the City of West Sacramento enact a 1/4 percent transactions and use tax (sales tax) providing approximately $3.4 million annually on an ongoing basis for general revenue purposes?[2]
