West Sacramento Streetcars, Measure U (November 2008)
A West Sacramento Streetcars, Measure U ballot proposition was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of West Sacramento in Yolo County, California, where it was approved.
Measure U was an advisory measure. It asked voters in the City of West Sacramento their views on how the city ought to spend the proceeds of the Measure V Sales Tax that was on the same ballot. Specifically, Measure U asked voters if they wanted the proceeds of that tax to "fund the operations of a streetcar system serving West Sacramento and flood protection improvements."
The proposed streetcar would connect with Raley Field and downtown Sacramento.
