The question on the ballot:
Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation proposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on General Ad Valorem Taxes within West Traverse Township, be renewed at 0.25 mils ($0.25 per $1,000 of the taxable value) for the period 2012 through 2015 inclusive, for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Thorne Swift Nature Preserve; and shall the township levy such millage for such purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $68,000?[3] |
