In the 2020 elections, Republicans increased their majority in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 58-41 and one independent officeholder to 76-24. The Republican majority increased to 77-23 after Jason Barrett switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican in December 2020.[1]
