The West Virginia Repeal Archaic Language, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment No. 1, was on the ballot in West Virginia on November 8, 1994, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure amended "...the State Constitution to repeal and delete the section prohibiting mixed schools, removing language referring to paupers and male voters and reducing the residency requirements for voting to thirty days."[1][2]
