The West Virginia Sheriffs Succession Amendment, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment No. 3, was on the ballot in West Virginia on November 6, 1962, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The measure would of permitted Sheriffs to serve two consecutive four-year terms.[1][2]
