A Western Maricopa Education Center School Bond Measure was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the west valley school area which is in Maricopa County where it was approved.
This measure issued a bond in the amount of $74.9 million in order to help pay for new campuses for the vocational school as well as expanding current training centers in the area. School officials noted that with the expansion and development of these technical facilities it further helps students to get training for the workforce adding to community development. This will be the second attempt by the school to get a bond passed for these campus improvement projects.[1]
