A Western School District Bond Measure was on the February 28, 2012 ballot in the Western school district area which is in Jackson County.
This measure was approved
- YES 1,459 (52.24%)
- NO 1,334 (47.76%)[1]
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $24.8 million in order to pay for remodeling, equipping, updating technology, buying new buses and improving playground sites and athletic facilities throughout the district.[2] School officials noted that funding cuts from the State had led to the need for this bond, money for these improvements usually would come from the School's general fund.[3]
