A Western Technical College Bond Measure was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the Western Technical college area, which is in La Crosse County, where it was approved.
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $79.8 million in order to help pay for upgrading and renovating school buildings. The bond will add to the current district levy by a rate of $39 per $100,000 of assessed value per year. School officials stated that with the loss of state aid, programs and job had to be cut. They are hoping that with this bind some of those would be brought back as well.[1]
