A Wharton Village Levy Increase question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Wyandot County, which is in Ohio, where it was defeated.
If approved, this question would have authorized the Village of Wharton to impose an additional property tax levy of up to 5.5 mills ($5.5 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to provide for the current expenses of the Village.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | An additional tax for the benefit of the Village of Wharton for the purpose of CURRENT EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding 5.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to fifty-five cents ($0.55) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.
