Elections on March 10 will consist of races in California, Idaho and Maine.
Three seats on the Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education are up for a primary election in California. It will be the first time these seats are elected by district. Prior to 2012, board members represented a specific seat but were elected at-large.
In Idaho, a recall election is being held against Robin Dunn in his position as prosecuting attorney of Jefferson County. The recall effort was launched in response to allegations that Dunn's law firm charged the county $18,000 to represent it in a court case. Dunn did not deny charging the county for his firm's involvement in a court case, but he said he did so at the request of county commissioners. He paid back the money charged to the county.[1]
A special general election is being held for District 93 of the Maine House of Representatives following Elizabeth Dickerson's (D) resignation on January 13, 2015. The representative stated that she would be moving to Colorado.[2] Candidates for the special election were nominated by parties rather than chosen in primaries, a practice held by about one-third of states.
