Elections on March 24 will consist of municipal and state legislative races in Florida and Pennsylvania, respectively.
A runoff in Tampa, Florida, will decide who will join Mayor Bob Buckhorn on the city council following his re-election on March 3. Guido Maniscalco and Jackie Toledo will face off in the District 6 runoff. Incumbent Charlie Miranda opted not to run for re-election in District 6 and instead ran in the District 2 race, which he won.
In Jacksonville, Mayor Alvin Brown (D) faces three others in a primary election. Polling predicts that he and Lenny Curry (R) will advance to the general election. Jacksonville City Council primaries will be held as well, with only nine of 19 incumbents running for re-election. Eight of the 10 not running are term-limited and ineligible to run.
Sarah Del Ricci (D) and Martina White (R) will face off in a special election for District 170 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The seat is vacant following Brendan Boyle's (D) election to Congress.[1] Boyle had held the seat since 2009.
