My personal experiences with housing insecurity and witnessing loved ones struggle with addiction and substance abuse have fueled my commitment to creating a more equitable and supportive environment for the people of Clark County. I hold a bachelor's degree in community development and a master's degree in organizational leadership. With over 15 years of leadership experience in the private sector and non-profit organizations, I currently serve as a Program and Housing Manager at Fourth Plain Forward, managing the financial education program, conducting small business outreach, and building out our housing process. My public service includes five years as a planning commissioner and roles on the Clark County Low Income Housing Committee, The Heights Community Investment Committee, and Vancouver’s Comprehensive Climate Community Working Group, among others. I believe I am the best candidate for Clark County Council because of my sincere dedication to our community and my proven leadership. I live and work in Clark County and understand the struggles our neighbors face, such as housing insecurity and substance abuse. In my full-time job, I engage daily with community members, fostering relationships and designing programs that empower them. I also collaborate closely with small business owners, addressing their challenges and providing vital support and connections to resources. I am deeply invested in the well-being of my neighbors and betterment of our community.
  • Housing is out of reach for many of our neighbors, and I know firsthand the anxiety that comes with housing insecurity. I am dedicated to tackling the housing crisis by advocating for solutions that meet the needs of everyone, across all income levels and generations. This includes zoning reforms to allow for moderate density, such as re-zoning areas to accommodate additional dwelling units, duplexes, and triplexes. By encouraging the construction of housing along major corridors, we can create vibrant, accessible communities. We can achieve smart growth that balances the need for housing with the preservation of our farmland, air, and waterways.
  • To support our community members facing homelessness, I will champion the funding of Safe Stay Communities in our county. These communities provide safe, transitional housing with services designed to help community members regain stability. By offering secure places to stay, coupled with access to essential resources like mental health services, job training, and addiction treatment, we can create pathways out of homelessness. Additionally, I will advocate for increased funding and collaboration with local CBOs and service providers to ensure comprehensive support. My goal is to address the root causes of homelessness, promoting long-term solutions that lead to permanent housing and self-sufficiency for our most vulnerable residents.
  • A responsive local government is essential for a thriving community. Together with community leaders, stakeholders, and residents we can address our shared challenges. By spending more time engaging with residents, I will ensure that your needs and voices inform the decisions that will help everyone thrive. Many Clark County employees are seeking more support and a clear vision for the future, which are essential for maintaining high morale. With my leadership experience, we can create an environment where county employees have the tools and resources to thrive.
I am passionate about housing, mental health and addiction, and government responsiveness. I am committed to addressing housing affordability through zoning reforms and streamlining the permitting process. Improving mental health and addiction services is crucial, and I will advocate for increased funding and partnerships with local organizations. I also believe in enhancing government responsiveness by creating a supportive environment for county employees and fostering collaboration with community leaders. These areas are vital for ensuring a thriving, inclusive Clark County.
The most important characteristics for an elected official include integrity, empathy, and accountability. Integrity ensures that decisions are made honestly and transparently, fostering trust with constituents. Empathy allows an elected official to understand and genuinely care about the challenges and needs of the community, ensuring that policies are inclusive and beneficial to all residents.

Accountability is crucial, as it holds the elected official responsible for their actions and decisions, ensuring they remain aligned with the best interests of the community. Effective communication skills are also vital, enabling clear, open dialogue with constituents and fostering collaboration with other officials and stakeholders.

An elected official must be adaptable and open-minded, ready to embrace innovative solutions and diverse perspectives. They should be committed to public service, driven by a genuine desire to improve the community's quality of life. Lastly, a strong work ethic and dedication to continuous learning are essential, allowing the official to stay informed about issues and best practices, and to effectively address the evolving needs of the community.

These characteristics ensure that an elected official can lead with integrity, compassion, and effectiveness, ultimately fostering a thriving, inclusive, and responsive community.
I believe the qualities that would make me a successful officeholder are my deep commitment to community, proven leadership, and a genuine passion for service. As a resident of Clark County, I have firsthand experience with the challenges our neighbors face, including housing insecurity and substance abuse. My empathy and dedication to these issues drive my desire to create positive change.

I possess over 15 years of leadership experience in both the private sector and non-profit organizations. In my current role as a Program and Housing Manager at Fourth Plain Forward, I manage financial education programs, conduct small business outreach, and build out housing processes. These responsibilities have honed my skills in project management, strategic planning, and community engagement.

My public service experience includes five years as a planning commissioner and participation on various committees such as the Clark County Low Income Housing Committee, The Heights Community Investment Committee, and Vancouver’s Comprehensive Climate Community Working Group. These roles have equipped me with a deep understanding of local government operations and policy development.

I am a strong communicator and collaborator, qualities essential for working effectively with constituents, stakeholders, and other officials.
