Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Censure by the Missouri House of Representatives (2021)
On January 13, 2021, the Missouri House of Representatives censured Price 140-3 after he was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with an intern. The censure made Price the first member to ever be censured by the House. The censure came after a failed vote to expel Price.[1]
The ethics committee report investigating Price found he committed perjury to the ethics committee, misled the investigator, obstructed the investigation, and intimidated the staff member who reported the relationship between Price and an intern.[1] The report said that Price coerced his legislative assistant to lie to an investigator after telling her of sexual relations he had with an intern. Though he claimed he did not have the intern’s phone number, the committee found phone calls and text messages exchanged between them after it subpoenaed his phone records. After he was shown the subpoenaed phone records, Price admitted to the communications with the intern.[2]
