Elections for the Maryland State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbent Lisa Gladden defeated Will Hanna in the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election.[1][2][3]

Hanna was a Democratic candidate for District 40 of the Maryland House of Delegates. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2.[4] Hanna was defeated by Democratic incumbents Frank Conaway, Jr., Barbara Robinson, and Shawn Tarrant in the September 14 Democratic primary.[5]
