- Newark needs thoughtful solutions, not reactive policies. I bring a systematic approach: address root causes, think through consequences before acting, and ensure our policies actually achieve their goals. As a software developer, I'm trained to break down complex problems and build solutions that work. That's what I'll bring to city council: careful analysis and comprehensive solutions for housing, public safety, and city services.
- I won't just propose solutions on city council, I'll help build them. I'm reinvesting my entire council salary into community-led civic engagement initiatives. I'm building a free search tool for council meeting minutes because transparency means nothing if information isn't accessible. Whether it's developing digital tools, improving city processes, or connecting residents with resources, I believe in rolling up my sleeves and doing the work. Public service means exactly that: service.
- Too many people feel disconnected from local government, but local government affects your life more than any other level: neighborhood development, parks, and streets. I'm committed to removing barriers to participation through accessible information, community-powered programs, and tools that help residents engage meaningfully. When people participate locally, we rebuild the civic muscle that makes democracy work at every level.
What excites me is combining this with my love for research and problem-solving. I enjoy digging into complex issues to find the best solutions, but that only works when information is accessible. We have technology that makes transparency easier than ever; it's just a matter of applying it.
