William A. Kelly, NY
William A. Kelly was a certificated justice for the Rockland County Supreme Court in the 9th Judicial District of New York. He was elected to this position and took office in 2006. In 2011, he became a certificated justice. His last term expired in 2012.[1][2]
Education
Kelly received his B.S. from Fordham University in 1962 and his J.D. from the Brooklyn School of Law in 1966.[1]
Career
Kelly began his career in 1966 as assistant corporation counsel for New York City. He then worked from 1969 to 1982 as an assistant district attorney. He also served on the Supreme Court Trial Bureau of Bronx County as a deputy chief (1972-1976) and a deputy chief of the Homicide Trial Bureau (1976-1981).
Kelly's judicial career began in 1982 when he became a town justice of Clarkstown, NY. In 1988, he joined the Rockland County Court, where he served until he joined the Supreme Court in early 2006.[1]
