William Amesbury

William Amesbury is a senior judge on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected in the November 2009 general election and was sworn in on January 4, 2010. He retired at the end of 2020 and transitioned to senior status in January 2021.[1][2][3]
Education
Amesbury earned his undergraduate degree in 1971 from Lock Haven State College and his J.D. in 1988 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He also earned a master's degree in 1976 from Marywood.[4]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Amesbury was the founder of the law firm William H. Amesbury & Associates, LLC.[5]
