William C. Bradley
William C. Bradley, Jr. was a judge for the Court of Common Pleas in New Castle County, Delaware.[1] He served two full terms on the court and resigned during his third.
Sexual misconduct
Bradley resigned suddenly amid allegations that he sexually abused two young boys decades ago.[2] After resigning, Bradley admitted to sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy 30 years earlier. He issued a statement that read in part:
"On or about the evening of Dec. 28, 1975 and Dec. 29, 1975, while present in my home located in Townsend, Delaware, I molested Gregory Kelly, then age 11, through inappropriate sexual contact. I deeply regret any harm I have caused to Gregory Kelly and his family."[3]
Kelly demanded the public admission and apology as the terms for settling his civil action. Another lawsuit brought against Bradley by a John Doe was also settled.
Bradley was subsequently disbarred from the practice of law.[3]
