William C. Ostlund

William C. Ostlund was a district court judge of District 2B of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in 1994.[1] He was retained in 2014 for a term that would expire on December 31, 2020.[2] He retired on April 5, 2019 upon reaching the state's mandatory retirement age of 72.[3]
Ostlund passed away on January 29, 2020.[3]

Education
Ostlund received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming in 1972.[1]
Career
Ostlund clerked for Justice Warren Rees of the Iowa Supreme Court before becoming a private practice lawyer. He worked as a lawyer, judicial magistrate, and juvenile referee until his judicial appointment in 1994.[1]
