What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

Public Education

Environmental Protection

Job Creation and Workers Rights[3][4]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Public Education, all roads lead to education. If we fix the K-12 system in Florida and in America we are well on our way to making a better Florida and a better America because all careers require education to happen.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[4]

Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. William Davis answered the following:

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow and why?

Walt Disney, he taught me that if you can dream it, you can do it and that you can start from literally nothing a create one of the largest companies in the world.

JFK, he taught me to put country first, and that when we do put country first, we and the country are better for it.

Teddy Roosevelt, he taught me to be tough but also compassionate, to use the position in government to fight for the little guy and the to give voice to the voiceless.[4]

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else that best describes your political philosophy?
A Higher Loyalty by James Comey, in the end public servants serve the nation and the constitution, we have a loyalty to that and that loyalty should not be broken or forsaken.[4]
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Integrity and empathy, a public servant must have integrity and do what is right even when people are not looking. Often times politicians are from affluent backgrounds and cannot fully understand what people from low income or those of different races are going through but using empathy they can walk a mile in their shoes to find out.[4]
What qualities do you possess that would make you a successful officeholder?
Integrity and a willingness to listen. Listening is the most important part of the job, if elected, I will have an open door policy.[4]
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To listen to the people and to make their lives easier. One can not make everyone happy, however, if a representative listens to the people and explains why something can or cannot be done, the gain the trust of the people.[4]
What legacy would you like to leave?
That great things can come from those who dream big, no matter the odds.[4]
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at that time?
While I do not remember the event, I remember the aftermath of 9/11 and how it changed things in my life even as a four year old.[4]
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Golf cart cleaner at the Panama Country Club, I worked there for about a one year.[4]
What happened on your most awkward date?
I kissed her teeth because she was smiling.[4]
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
The Fourth of July because it is the celebration of America and the American Dream.[4]
What is your favorite book? Why?
Unbelievable by Katy Tur, it reads like a novel and goes into great detail how a reporter on the Trump 2016 campaign felt.[4]
If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
President Whitmore from Independence Day[4]
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
Disney Monorail Playset[4]
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.[4]
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Getting to where I want to go as far as achieving my future. I came from an upper middle class family so I didn't really have any real obstacles but self motivating and achieving my goals has always been a struggle.[4]
(For non-Nebraska candidates) What do you consider the most important differences between the legislative chambers in your state?
In the house is where a lot of crazy idea are brought up and voted on and in the senate is where the more serious proposals are debated.[4]
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
For high office such as governor and US Senator, yes, lower offices such as state representative, no.[4]
What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?
Climate Change[4]
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and the state legislature?
Semi-hostile, neither side should be willing to give the other the whole deal without hard negotiation.[4]
Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
Yes, legislating is a team effort, if we want things to pass we must be friendly with each other.[4]
What process do you favor for redistricting?
An independent commission that does not yield to partisan fighting, like in California.[4]
If you are not a current legislator, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?
Education committee, K-12 Innovation Subcommittee

Commerce Committee Tourism & Gaming Control Subcommittee[4]

Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
John McCain, country above all else.[4]
Are you interested in running for a different political office in the future?
Yes, I plan to go as high as I can.[4]
Both sitting legislators and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
When I was an intern in Congress I was told a story by a woman who was going into bankruptcy because she bought private student loans. I remember because there wasn't anything we could do to help and I felt so bad.[4]
