William Evans was a judge of the orphans' court in Baltimore County, Maryland.[1] He served on the court from 2006 to 2018. He was appointed to serve as chief by the governor in 2009.[2][3][4][5]

Evans ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Baltimore County.
Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 25.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Juliet Fisher, Arthur M. Frank, and David K. Hayes. Primary candidates competed for three seats. 
General: He faced Juliet Fisher, Arthur M. Frank, and Peter V. Gargano in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 25.1 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats. [4][6] 

2010

Evans was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Baltimore County along with Colleen Cavanaugh and Theresa A. Lawler, in the general election on November 2, 2010. He received 18.0% of the vote.[7]

Biography

Education

Evans earned an undergraduate degree from John Carroll University in 1969 and was awarded a J.D. from the University of Baltimore, School of Law in 1973.[2]

Career

In addition to serving on the courts, Evans has over forty years of experience as an attorney and specializes in litigation.[2]
