William Greenberg is a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He was nominated to the court by President Barack Obama on November 15, 2012.[1] Greenberg began his fifteen-year term on December 28, 2012, following Senate confirmation.[2]

Early life and education

Greenberg received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 1964 and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1967.[1]

Military service

Greenberg achieved the rank of Brigadier General after serving for 27 years in the United States Army Reserve.

Greenberg was nominated by President Barack Obama to a seat on the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims on November 15, 2012. Obama commented on the nomination, stating, "I am confident that Mr. Greenberg will greatly serve the American people in his new role and I look forward to working with him in the months and years to come."[1] Greenberg was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on December 21, 2012, and received his appointment on December 27, 2012.[2]
