William Harold Cox (1901-1988) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.

Cox was nominated to the Southern District of Mississippi by President John F. Kennedy on June 20, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 27, 1961, and received his commission on June 30, 1961. From 1962-1971, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on October 4, 1982. He served the Southern District of Mississippi until his death on February 25, 1988.[1] Cox was succeeded in this position by William Barbour.
