Biography
William Holdridge attended Illinois State University, where he received his B.S. degree. He then earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois and a J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University.[1] Before becoming a judge, Holdridge worked as a professor at the Universities of Illinois and Southern Illinois and as a private practice lawyer. He also worked as a law clerk for the Illinois Supreme Court and the Third District Appellate Court and as a director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. He was elected justice of the appellate court in November of 1994.[1]
