William J. Howard

William J. Howard is a judge of the Orphans Court of Talbot County in Talbot County, Maryland.[1] He was first elected to the court on November 2, 2010, and assumed office on December 7, 2010.[2] Howard was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Talbot County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 24.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Paul S. Carroll, Ron Frampton, John F. Hall, and incumbent Judge Carville D. Duncan. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. Three seats were up for election.

Howard was elected to the Orphans Court of Talbot County (along with incumbents Donald E. James and Carville D. Duncan) in the general election on November 2, 2010. He received 28.72% of the vote.[6]

Education
Howard received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.[2]
Career
Howard was elected judge of the Orphans Court of Talbot County in 2010. From 1993 to 1995, he served as a member of the Subsequent Injury Fund panel, hearing workman's compensation appeals. In addition to public service, Howard is a journalist and host of the "Man About Town" TV series and the director of Comtex New Network. He has also worked as the director of Hadron, Inc., as the president of Howard Equities Co. Inc., and as the president of the Visitors TV Network.[2]
