William L. Stocks was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Middle District of North Carolina. He was appointed in November of 1993, and served as Chief Judge until December 2012.[1][2]

Education

Judge Stocks earned his J.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[3]

Career

Prior to taking the bench, Judge Stocks worked as an associate and then as a member of the partnership at Nichols Caffrey Hill & Murrelle from 1966 to 1993.[1]
