William L. "Bill" Wright was a judge of the 14th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida from 1997 to 2016. He served as chief judge of the court from July 1, 2005, until June 30, 2007. He was elected to this court on September 3, 1996, effective the following January. Wright won re-election campaigns in 2008 and 2014. While his third consecutive term was not scheduled to end until January 4, 2021, Wright both announced and commenced his retirement on December 2, 2016.
