William M. Erlbaum
William M. Erlbaum was a justice of the Queens County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 11th Judicial District of New York. He was elected to this position in 2005 and was certificated in 2007. His last term expired in 2012.[1][2]
Erlbaum died on March 20, 2026.[3]
Education
Erlbaum received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College, his M.A. degree from the University of Connecticut and his J.D. degree from the Brooklyn Law School.
He taught as a professor of political science at York College of the City University of New York and as an adjunct professor at the Brooklyn Law School.[1]
Career
Erlbaum began his judicial career in 1979 as a judge of the New York City Criminal Court. He worked in this capacity until he was elected to the Supreme Court in 2005. He also served as an Acting Supreme Court Justice from 1996 through 2004.[1]
