I have led or advised, over a 40-year executive business career, scores of high-performing energy and energy services related companies in diverse and competitive marketplaces. Solving problems, motivating partners, engendering trust and driving innovation challenge me to improve every day.

I earned two masters degrees; one in Business Administration and the other in Engineering, both from Tulane University. In addition, I also earned a bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Assembling winning teams for decades, I have developed an essential system of virtues that guarantee success - in business and in life. Those virtues are: Innovation, Trust, and Teamwork ("ITT"). My philosophy for getting things done is being able to find solutions that elude most, building deep trust - even with those of differing opinions, goals and agendas - and building teams where everyone has a voice and shares in the load.

Instead of focusing on what divides us, I will reach across the aisle to find solutions for our communities. Better roads, creative and thoughtful budgeting, safer schools and cities, enhanced freedom, and a thriving economy are all attainable. We can chart a brighter future for everyone.
  • I am a Transparent Leader - Integrity and Commitment inform everything I do.
  • My Philosophy for getting things done is grounded in: Innovation - Seeing Solutions that elude others; Trust - any team that can't depend on each other will crumble, and: Teamwork - the bond that coalesces an uncompromising determination to achieve excellence.
  • I am Approachable: Instead of focusing on what divides , I reach across the table to find solutions to issues.
I am passionate about Safety and Security of our citizens - Constitutional protests that degenerate into riots, looting, and arson are NOT PEACEFUL PROTESTS, support for police and the Rule of Law, the Taxpayer Bill of Rights that compels the State to live within its means - just like in our personal lives, the freedoms we as Coloradans enjoy, improved and streamlined K-12 funding and resources that deliver to classrooms - as opposed to a state education department that has an percentage growth in excess of student population growth, smaller government, lower taxes, assaults on the Colorado Constitution (recently with respect to the discussion that would eliminate the Electorial College), and protection of our Second Amendment Rights.

The curbs on the budgeting road represented by Tabor and Gallagher offer the opportunity for the Legislature to be truly creative and thoughtful in the development of a budget that addresses the need of the citizens of Colorado, while being forceful against the proliferation of ill-advised special interest pet projects.
I was lucky enough to have met John Tower - US Senator of Texas - and been able to learn what integrity and commitment means...
Being able to listen to the voters and legislative collegues' points of view
Solving problems, motivating partners, engendering trust and driving innovation challenge me to improve every day
To be know as a transparent, approachable, and caring person of integrity and commitment
In 1963, we were all keenly aware and impacted by the assinnation of President Kennedy, the days and events that followed, and the extreme sadness of his funeral.
My first job was a summer job working on a natural gas pipeline and in the pipeline compressor stations
Finding a dialog and developing trust to facilitate the solving of issues in a House where I an in the minority
To work in concert with one another... Finding creative solutions that allow everyone to com to a concensus where no one gets everything they want - a spirit of true compromise and understanding.
Yes.. in order to develop trust that works to facilitate meaningful and fair legislation
Based on population density... as opposed to gerrymandering district lines by the party currently in power
