William McGuiness
William R. McGuiness was the administrative presiding justice of the California First District Court of Appeal and presiding justice of the First District Court of Appeal, Division Three. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Wilson and took office on December 21, 1998. He was appointed administrative presiding justice on January 28, 2002. McGuiness was retained by voters in 2002 and 2006. His last term would have expired on January 6, 2019.[1] He retired in December 2017.
Education
McGuiness graduated from Santa Clara University in 1968 and from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1972.[2]
