William Miller was a justice on the New York Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District. He was elected to this position in 2012. Prior to this, he served as an Acting Supreme Court Justice.[1]

Education

Miller received his B.B.A. degree from the City College of New York in 1964 and his J.D. degree from the Boston University School of Law in 1967.[1]

Career

Miller began his career in 1969 as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County. He worked in this capacity until his judicial appointment in 1983 and was the Chief Assistant District Attorney from 1980 to 1982. In 1983, he was appointed to the New York City Criminal Court. He became an Acting Supreme Court Justice in 1985.[1]

2012 election

Miller was elected to the Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District in the general election on November 6, 2012. He ran on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party tickets.[2][3]
