William Parsons (Florida)
William A. Parsons was the chief judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this court in 1997, effective in early 1998.[1][2][3] Parsons retired from the court in December 2015.[4]
Education
Parsons was born in New Britain, Conn., on February 13, 1947. He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and then his J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law in 1972.[1][2]
Career
Parsons began his career in 1972 with the law firm of Adams, George & Wood in Miami. He worked there until 1974. He then practiced as a partner with the firms of Woerner & Parsons, Leonhardt, Upchurch & Parsons, P.A. and Gosney, Cameron, Parsons, Mariott and Walsh before becoming a sole practitioner. After 25 years as a civil trial attorney, he was appointed to the circuit court in 1997.[1][2]
2012 election

Parsons was unopposed and automatically re-elected to the circuit court following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5]
