William Schweitzer

Biography
Schweitzer was born in Rochester, New York (Rush-Henrietta High School) and graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a B.A. in political science and minor in law in 2011. He was a member of the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment, and later worked in the intelligence community. After his military service, Schweitzer founded Schweitzer Laboratories where they developed software to combat political corruption and foreign interference in campaign finance. Additionally, Schweitzer has worked for multiple political campaigns and leaders including: President Obama, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, Congressman Joe Morelle, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, the Monroe County Democratic Committee, and the New York State Democratic Party. As of 2023, he lives in New York City with his wife and two sons.

|Born and raised in Rochester, NY (Rush-Henrietta HS), William committed himself to public service in the aftermath of 9/11. He received a B.A. in Political Science (minor in Law) from Hobart and William Colleges in Geneva, NY and started his political career working as the colleges chapter coordinator for President Obama’s ‘08 campaign. He then went on to work for the Monroe County Democratic Committee, helping state a local democrats win multiple elections in 2010.
In 2011 William volunteered as an infantryman in the US Army and was selected to join the elite 75th Ranger Regiment, deploying multiple times to Afghanistan. Upon completing his service he returned to Rochester and worked for Sen. Schumer’s district office helping constituents navigate the federal government. In 2015 William moved to New York City and began working in the intelligence community, developing a deep understanding of the geopolitical threat landscape, and role of emerging technology in national security matters. By 2018 William had launched his own private company, Schweitzer Laboratories, where they built a new payments and compliance system for combatting political corruption in campaign finance - working directly with regulators, law enforcement, technologists and political leaders across the country.
