William Sobel
William Sobel was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 16 of the Louisville City Council in Kentucky. He was defeated in the primary election on May 17, 2016.
Biography
Sobel received a bachelor's degree in political science from The George Washington University. He was the chief operating officer of Comedy Caravan/TSM Artists from 1990 to 2009. He then began working as a consultant for comedians and entertainment venues, joined Target Corp., and co-founded www.ilocalnews.com.[1]

The city of Louisville, Kentucky, held elections for city council on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on May 17, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 26, 2016. Thirteen of the 26 city council seats were up for election. Scott W. Reed defeated William Sobel in the Louisville Metro Council District 16 primary election.[2]
