William Thomas Sweigert (1900-1983) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Sweigert was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on April 23, 1959, to a seat vacated by Edward Murphy; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 14, 1959, and received commission his on September 21, 1959. He assumed senior status on November 30, 1973. He served the Northern District of California until his death on February 16, 1983. Swigert was succeeded in this position by William Orrick.
