William Van Haaften
William Van Haaften (Democratic Party) was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 76. Van Haaften assumed office in 1974. Van Haaften left office in 2010.
He also served as Deputy Speaker Pro Tempore and Chairman of the Posey County Democratic Party.
Biography
Van Haaften has worked as an attorney with Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald and Hahn Limited Liability Partnership. He served as prosecuting attorney in Posey County from 1995 to 2003.
He has been a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mount Vernon Kiwanis, National District Attorneys Association, and the Posey County Community Foundation.[1]

Haaften did not run for re-election to the 74th District seat in 2010. He is instead ran for the 8th District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
