William Van Nortwick
William A. Van Nortwick, Jr. was a judge on the Florida First District Court of Appeal.[1] He was appointed to this position in 1994. He did seek re-election in 2014 and retired at the end of his term on January 5, 2015.[2]
Education
Van Nortwick graduated from Duke University in 1967 and went on to receive his law degree from the University of Florida in 1970.[1]
Career
Van Nortwick worked as a private practice attorney with the firm Milam, Martin & Ade from 1970 to 1975. He was with the firm Martin, Ade, Birchfield & Mickler, P.A. until 1994, when he was appointed to court of appeal.[1]
Military service
Van Nortwick served in the U.S. Army Reserve.[1]
Elections
Van Nortwick was retained by voters in 1996, 2002, and 2008.[3][4][5]
