William Wentowski gets things done because he cares. He cares because he hears, and he listens. A lifelong resident of the 48th District, William has heard the challenges facing families in his neighborhood, his district and the state of Alabama. Like a lot of us, William believes it’s time the voters of District 48 elect a leader who’ll serve and support their best interests in Alabama’s House of Representatives.

A third-generation business leader, and co-owner of Homewood-based BTS Technologies, William has dedicated his career to helping businesses succeed and prosper in an increasingly complex and competitive environment. He knows what it takes to create meaningful job opportunities in today’s economy.

William is running for office to restore the kind of proactive, problem-solving mindset that’s been lacking in our district’s representation for far too long. He’s committed to bringing the same passion for public service that he invested in leading the Shades Valley Rotary Club as its past President. He’s committed to serving and supporting your best interests. Together, we can build a brighter future for District 48 — and all of Alabama!
  • No New Taxes and Tax Cuts - I want to see the state's 2% holdover on grocery taxes done away with. Likewise, Alabamians are already highly taxed. We need more economic growth to generate revenues, not squeezing more dollars from the good people of the state.
  • Maximum Personal Freedom- We are fond of paying lip service to protecting our rights and liberties. The recent legislative session has shown that the incumbent is willing to take away your right to vote (HB 392) and hand control to un-elected bureaucrats in D.C (SB 71). I will oppose and legislation that interferes in your rights.
  • Public Safety is a must. Safe neighborhoods promote economic growth and healthy families. At the same time we are asking too much of our police officers and having them try and control societal ills that are outside the scope of law enforcement. We have to do better by everyone in Alabama and that doesn't mean increased budgets. It means reforms and targeted spend on practices known to work.
I am personally passionate about education, freedom, and taxes. All of these come together at a central point around economic opportunity. Solving the troubles in each one of these silos improves lives and makes solving the next issue easier.
