Wood won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of San Diego County in California outright in the primary on March 3, 2020, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Wood received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, a master's degree from Trinity University, and a J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law.[1]
