William Wylie
William Wylie (b. January 20, 1940, d. September, 2010) was a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 21.
Representative Wylie died in September 2010. District 21's seat was filled by special election on 12/14/2010 by Phyllis Henderson (R).[1]
Education
Wylie received his Diploma from Pinkerton Academy in 1957. He went on to receive a degree in business from Stanford University in 1992.
Professional experience
Wylie was a Group Manager for McCrory Corporation from 1960 to 1963. He then worked as District and Regional Manager from 1963 to 1976. From 1976 to 1985, he was President of Smart Stores. He also worked for Stone Manufacturing Company as Vice President of Operations from 1985 to 1991. Wylie then worked for UMBRO, International as Executive Vice President from 1991 to 1996. He continued his work for UMBRO America as President/Chief Operating Officer from 1996 to 1998. He then worked as President/Chief Operating Officer of Stone International from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, he was CEO of Cherith Valley Gourmet Preserves. Wylie also was CEO of Goodwill Industries-Greenville from 2001 to 2007. He was President of Wylie and Associates from 2008-2010 and worked as a Business and Turnaround Consultant.
Political experience
Wylie served in the South Carolina State House of Representatives. He represented the 21st District from 2008-2010.

2010
Wylie ran unopposed in the June 8 Republican primary for District 21 of the South Carolina House of Representatives. Wylie was unopposed in the general election on November 2.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Wylie won election unopposed to the South Carolina House of Representatives with 18,517 votes, representing District 21.
Wylie raised $31,379 for his campaign.[2]
