Willie Jett
Willie Jett is the Minnesota Commissioner of Education. He assumed office on March 13, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Gov. Tim Walz (D) appointed Jett to succeed Heather Mueller.[1]
Biography
Jett received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master's degree from the University of Pittsburg. Prior to his appointment as commissioner, Jett was an instructor in the Education Administration Licensure program in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development at the University of Minnesota.[2]
