Noteworthy events
Removal from 2019 city council ballot
Singletary had filed to run for Philadelphia city council on the Democratic ticket in 2019. On March 26, Judge Stella Tsai ruled that Singletary was ineligible to seek office due to a past conviction for lying to FBI agents. Singletary, who was in the process of appealing the conviction at the time of the ruling, said that he would also seek to be restored to the ballot.[4]
