Wilson Stone
Wilson Stone (Democratic Party) was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 22. He assumed office in 2009. He left office on December 31, 2020.
Stone (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 22. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
On November 20, 2019, Stone announced that he would not seek re-election to the state House in 2020.[1]
Stone died on June 17, 2022, after a lengthy illness.[2]
Biography
Stone's professional experience included working as a trainer for the Kentucky School Board Association, a faculty member of Western Kentucky University Agriculture, and a farmer. He began serving as a member of the local school board in 1985. He was a member of the Agricultural Development Board, Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA), Cooperative Extension Board, Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Farm Bureau Board of Directors.[3]

Elections for the Kentucky House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Wilson Stone ran unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[7][8][9]

Stone won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 22. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012, and was unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012.[10][11]
2010
Stone won re-election to the 22nd District Seat on November 2, 2010. He was unopposed and received 10,722 votes.
Stone ran unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary election.[12]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Stone was elected to the 22nd District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives, defeating Shawn McPherson (R).[13] Stone raised $79,154 for his campaign, while McPherson raised $50,243.[14]
