Montpelier, Vermont: Superior Court Judge Martin Maley has stated that the protesters in the continuous dispute against Green Mountain Power and its wind power project may be arrested.[1]
The protestors are protesting against the project by refusing to leave the property before Green Mountain Power contractors set off the explosives they need to make a road that is part of the wind power project. Green Mountain Power has reported that the delays have set the project back and is continually increasing the costs of the 21-turbine project.[1]
The protestors have currently been camping on a private property owned by a couple by the name of Don and Shirley Nelson, and even though the area is within a thousand-foot safety zone away from where the blast will be taking place, the dispute between the protestors and the Green Mountain Power has been causing delays to the project.[1]
